Halloween!

Just a few Halloween shots of Logan and Lucas...

Elon Homecoming and Suprise Shower!

The weekend of Oct. 24 was Homecoming at ELON! Can you believe it has been 5 years?? Many of my college friends were able to make the trek to Elon and I am so glad! It was a rainy game day but it didn't dampen the mood!

At the game... E-L-O-N, Elon Elon Elon!

As the weekend wrapped up Rory, Jill, Vycki, and I made plans to meet up at Mimi's cafe for what I thought was just breakfast. Little did I know, my girls had been scheming for weeks, planning a surprise shower for me! Since I thought I was just meeting some of my closest friends for breakfast I pulled my hair back and threw on some clothes. When I got there... boy was I surprised! There sat Robin, Jen, Jill, Katie (plus Anthony and Christopher), Rory (plus Dagny), Jill, Vycki, Megan, and Tanya at an adorable table set with baby friendly mimosa's and my sweet baby boys' name. We enjoyed a delicious meal and tore into some gifts for the new arrival! It was a perfect ending to a fabulous weekend! I am truly blessed to have such amazing friends. I love you girls!

The backyard improvements!

So we love spending time outside and have had big plans for the backyard. Well, I think we are finished for the most part. Considering there was no patio or landscaping when we moved in here 2 and a half years ago... not too bad!

The arbor, fence, walkway with new landscaping, and the fire pit (Cooper had to get in on the action).

My boys...

So, I think we are close to finishing the backyard! This summer and fall we have added a fence, arbor, fountain, landscaping, and a fire pit. The pit is my favorite part! Scott has worked so very hard to make me happy. We decided Sunday evening was the perfect autumn night to christen the fire pit with S'MORES! Julie and her boys, Cooper and Eli, came over, along with Davey, Natalie, Tanya, Greg, Logan, and Lucas. Every one had a great time!

Look for week 16 very soon...

Here I am at 12 weeks, not sure if it is considered a baby bump yet or not...

Belated Congrats to Rory and Joe!!

Summer Days with the Boys

One of the great parts of being a teacher is the summer! Since I am afforded this luxury it allows me some extra time to enjoy my nephews Logan and Lucas. In the past couple of weeks we have headed to the City Park in Burlington a couple of times and to splash around in my mother-in-laws pool. Here are a few pics to sum up our excursions..WHEEEE!! Lucas on the slide...

Apparently, Lucas wanted to use the hairdryer that morning. Hence, the bad hair
day!

Playing ball at the park!

Tanya was attempting to create some shade...

Logan looked like a dog with a cone on his head... Lucas is all boy...too cute!

Gaston Lake

The weekend of July 11th we headed to Gaston Lake with Matt and Joy. Scott's parents got a new boat last year and so they gave us the old one, and when I say old, I mean old....

Hence the name I have given it, the U.S.S. P.O.S. but hey, it was free!
While on this "fishing vessel", as Scott likes to call it, we often "noodle" for catfish. This involves using a contraption of pvc, swimming noodles, fishing line, and bait to catch catfish. These "noodles" are dropped in a line and then you wait to see one pop up from a fish tugging on it. I like to compare it to a mini dealiest catch. We caught several and enjoyed a delicious meal of baked catfish, homemade hushpuppies, and corn on the cob! Here are a few pics from the weekend...

3rd Annual Teague 4th of July Cookout!

Lucky for us we had a fairly laid back 4th unlike previous ones...

We grilled played cornhole and ladder golf and enjoyed the company of great neighbors and friends!

Introducing Cooper Teague!

We have had a busy week! We brought home a 5 week old Jeagle puppy (jack russell and beagle) on Tuesday. Needless to say we have been busy trailing after him and attempting to potty train him. He will be an outside pup eventually, but for now he is hanging with us inside. He has a lot and house outside but looks at us like we have lost our minds if we put him in there.

Having a baby has to be easier, atleast they wear diapers and aren't mobile for awhile! Stay tuned for more pics...

Wedding Bells!

So, Jill and myself headed south to Orlando to meet up with the girls (plus Adam) to celebrate the nuptials of Dayna and Bill a week or so ago. Jill's sis-in-law was so kind to offer us a place to crash and take us to Animal Kingdom on Friday!! So Rory, Jill, Kelly, and myself made a day of shows and Expedition Everest! Check out the pics, thanks to Rory...
Ah, yes the Tree of Life...

And the bug glasses at It's Tough to be a Bug...

Friday evening we celebrated Dayna's last fling before the ring!! Dinner and a naughty shower... It was a blast!

On Saturday I had to tend to bridesmaid duties, so ... Jill and Rory got to go to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. I am still a bit bitter, but I wouldn't have traded spending the day with Dayna! Saturday evening was topped off with a relaxing Key west themed Bar-b-que in the park!!

Dayna, Vycki, me, and Kathleen

FINALLY, THE BIG DAY had arrived and it was a day of primping and prepping! The wedding was at a gorgeous estate house surrounded by spanish moss draped trees and a sparkling lake in the background! The day didn't end without a good luck sprinkle during dinner. But it didn't dampen the mood! Everything was beautiful...

Wasn't I supposed to be helping her???

Elon Crew!

After the celebration we headed to the hotel (my third different sleeping quarters in four days) which was across the street from Downtown Disney. After a long weekend of wedding activities we were still up for a bit of shopping before we headed to bed.

Monday morning we headed out early for the 10 hour drive home. CONGRATS DAYNA AND BILL!
