Happy Birthday Bennett!

Since Bennett's big day fell during the week on a Tuesday we celebrated that evening with a practice run of the cake smush!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

A few shots of my sweet boy! I know it has been for ever since I blogged... Sorry! I have been diligently working on B's birthday party almost every spare moment I get. Also, Scott tore his pectoral muscle from his shoulder this past Monday and we spent the evening in the ER. He is healing but, can still not lift things.

Stuck in the house!

We have had a crazy winter here in NC! Six missed school days due to inclement weather already, and it is not even February yet! So, with daddy working crazy hours clearing the roads with the DOT, Bennett and mommy have had some great snuggle and play time! Some of our favorite things to do are:

Take things apart and spin wheels.

Learning to drink from a sippy cup and and eating lots of finger foods! Climbing on everthing!

I can't believe that he is growing so fast and becoming so independent!

We had Bennett's 9 month session a couple of weeks early with ASB photography so we could do some seasonal shots. Here are just a couple from the day!

We were surprised here in central NC with a early snowfall on Saturday December 4th. Bennett was not sure what to think.

Decking the Halls!

Those of you that know me well, know that I LOVE to decorate! I have been slightly dreading this due to my inquisitive 8 month old. So today was the day... I began decking the halls! I am sure Bennett felt like he was not quite sure what he might wake up to each time he went down for a nap! During his morning nap I put up the tree in our bedroom and did his on the coffee table...His sports themed table tree, that he was gazing at when he woke up from his nap! Love it!




Then after his afternoon nap he witnessed the living room tree. He is a hands on learner and had to check it all out.

I am so looking forward to the Christmas season with my sweet little man!

Let the Holidays begin!

On Thanksgiving Day we headed to Rocky Mount for lunch with Scott's side of the family. Unfortunately, on the way back for dinner with my parents we found out that my dad and Lucas had the dreaded stomach bug that Bennett and Scott had earlier in the week! I missed seeing my family but, didn't want to rick catching the nasty bug myself...
