Officially crawling!

Houston, we have a crawler...

But, I don't wanna go back!

So the time has come for me to leave my precious baby boy and head back to the reality known as school. He is staying with a sitter that lives next door to my mother-in-law. He will be there one other little boy. Denise (my m-i-l) plans on picking him up as soon as she gets off of work, so atleast he won't be there sooo long. I am going to miss this sweet face... I am sure it will hurt me more than it will him...

YAY! Dayna and Garrett came to visit!!

A couple of weeks ago Dayna and Garrett started the long trek to NC from sunny Florida. After a stop off in Atlanta they arrived on Tuesday evening! We had a packed week with trips to Beth Schmidt Park, Burlington City Park, The Greensboro Children's Museum, Jill's house, Monterray's, and Mimi's Cafe for Brunch. It was soo nice to see them and we had a blast!
Here is one of my favorite pictures of the week!

Busy Bennett

I know, I know...It has been forever since I have updated!

My free time seems to have flown out of the window! But, we are doing wonderfully and loving every minute! Since I haven't updated since...hummmm, April!?!? I am going to do my best to update everyone on the happenings since then.

What is Bennett up to??

- rolling both ways
-sitting up for brief periods of time
-playing no stop with his adorable little feet
-putting everything in his mouth
-eating cereal (which he loves!)
-laughing
-slobbering non stop
-making high pitch squealing noise
-loves splashing in the water
-being naked
-sleeping 6-7 hours straight regularly (I'll take it!)
-Sleeps from 8 or 9 to about 8 in the morning
-dancing in front of the mirror (naked is a plus for him)
-trying to coordinate crawling...it is going to be a bit longer for this :)
I am so dreading going back to work and leaving this little boy! It is amazing to watch the new things he does everyday. Tune in on Sundays to facebook for the Bennett minute to see what he is up to!

White Lake
The week after the fouth we head to White Lake for a bit of vacation. For those of you who have never been there it is truly like stepping back into the 60's. Time just slows down... We parked the car and didn't move it until we were ready to leave! Our week was filled with sun soaked, raft floating days and corn hole/putt putt/arcade/ice cream nights! It was soo nice to just relax with family!

A few shots from the week...

I promise I will try to do better keeping everyone updated on our adventures!!

Funny moments so far as parents

Being a parent definately has its up and downs but, so far it has provided Scott and I so very humerous moments...
- During Bennett's newborn photo session at the house he decided he needed to nurse. So I wrapped him in a blanket sans diaper and headed to our bedroom. During the feeding he unleashed a monster poo! All over the bobby pillow and himself. As I start yelling for Scott and he opens the door another pile of poo rolls out of my sweet little boy. Upon viewing this Scott begins to gag and closes the door. Here I am with my boob out, poo covered pillow and baby in my lap, and attempting not to ruin the shirt I had so carefully chosen. Scott walks in gagging with paper towels!! What am I going to do with paper towels!?!? He then proceedes to head to the bathroom and toss his cookies. I was laughing so hard I couldn't see!
-One of the first nights at home Scott was up with Bennett. I walked in the nursery about 3:30 a.m. to see Scott with the changing pad on the floor talking to Bennett. He looks up so proud and says "I changed a poopy diaper", like I sould give him a gold star or something... I asked why the pad was on the floor and his response was "I needed room to work!"
- More to come soon!
